Cookie notice

Last updated 10 October 2026

This notice explains what cookies are, which ones our website uses and how you can control them. The short version: we don't use cookies to track you or show you adverts.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your phone, tablet or computer when you visit. Some are needed for a website to work. Others are used to measure visits or to show adverts.

2. The cookies we use

Our website only uses cookies that are strictly necessary for it to work, if it uses any at all. For example, our security provider, Cloudflare, may set a cookie to tell real visitors apart from automated traffic and keep the site safe.

Strictly necessary cookies don't need your consent under UK law, because the site can't work properly without them. They aren't used to track you or for marketing.

3. No analytics or advertising cookies

We don't set analytics cookies to measure your visit, and we don't set advertising or social media tracking cookies.

Our cookie banner asks whether you accept optional cookies. Nothing optional is set unless you choose Accept, and if we ever add optional cookies we'll list them here first.

4. Your choice

When you choose Accept or Reject, we remember it in a small cookie called acp_consent for 6 months, so we don't ask on every page. It holds only your choice.

You can change your mind at any time: choose Cookie settings at the bottom of any page and the banner will ask again.

5. Links to other websites

If you follow a link from our website to another site, such as WhatsApp, a manufacturer or a government page, that site may set its own cookies. Their cookie notices explain how they use them.

6. How to control cookies

You can see, block and delete cookies in your browser settings, usually under Privacy or Privacy and security. Your browser's help pages explain the exact steps. If you block strictly necessary cookies, some parts of our website, such as our forms, may not work properly. Most browsers let you:

  • Block all cookies, or only cookies from other websites
  • Delete cookies that are already saved
  • Clear cookies automatically each time you close the browser
  • Use a private or incognito window, which deletes cookies when you close it

7. More information

Our privacy notice explains how we use your personal information. The Information Commissioner's Office has more about cookies at ico.org.uk.

8. Changes to this notice

We'll update this notice if the cookies on our website change. The date on this page shows when it was last updated.
